In Athens tonight Xoanon at the Project Space Six Dogs

Irini Karagiannopoulou sent this notice this along…

Xoanon is a collaborative project of Extra-Conjugale with the female directorial duo Twin Automat and composer Gianni Saxonis. It is a complex narratives around the eternal sleep, the unknown and the need for mankind to understand the universe.

Xoanon is a combination of original material (photo, film, drawings, painting) and findings (museological and archives) which does not aspire to demolish the edifice of occultism nor devalue the need of mankind to invent tools representation of Others Worlds.

Paranormal, formal and informal systems of worship, religious myths, scientific and scientific-understanding of the universe attempts, form the basis for an almost improvisational narrative.

From both the film by Twin Automat and the works of Extra-Conjugale emerge many questions but as the film’s narrator Takis Moschos emphasizes, ‘It is the viewer’s work to ascertain the truth.’ ‘

Film participants in order of appearance:

Takis Moschos
Jean Marc Chazy
Marina Velisioti
Ivi Adamakopoulou
Simeon Tsakiris
Diana Iordache

Music: Giannis Saxonis
