On a bright and mildly windy day (SSW @ 3 or 4 Beaufort) the fuel tanker EKO 5 hove to and anchored leeward of Skopelos. She anchored for only a few hours, then continued on her journey from Thessaloniki to Elefsina, most likely to load up. Engine problems? Mutiny? Too windy? Outbreak of food poisoning? Fishing?
Big news? Not really. But anyone exiting the National Bank this morning beheld the sight in the photo or one closely like it. Clearly an Agios Oros day. Interested parties can enlarge the photo to see the Holy Mountain.
