This photo was shot from the sea outside of Glyfoneri. The lens configuration takes the background, which to the eye appears to be gently sloping up and away from the port, and stands it up, so that objects which are further away appear on the same vertical plane as objects which are closer.
In normal sight, we can judge distance by gauging the relative sizes of objects because near objects appear bigger than those further away. This lens changes those relationships.
The photo shows some of the extensive stonework done to support the cliff side walk above the Panagia tou Pirgou church.
