Evangelistria Make-over

This is the Evangelistria. She has gone through several transformations over the years. The first (to my memory) was as the open boat with a canvas sun screen plying the waters between the port and the taverna at Glysteri. Later she gained a closed hard topped cabin which allowed her to work year round.

With its enclosed cabin the Evangelistria was often put into service as an emergency boat, ferrying the ill or injured from Skopelos and Alonissos to the tip of Pelion, a much needed service during the winter months.

For the past weeks she is again being refitted. There is a stylish new cabin with what appears to be much more headroom. With the boat out of the water the original and impressive hull silhouette is revealed, complemented by the new cabin layout, and a classy new paint job.

Best wishes and good voyage(s) to Captain Vangelis Kosmas and crew.
