From the “Nothing to do with Skopelos” Dept.
Shhhhh! There are two webcams focused on the nest of a Bald Eagle pair high in a tree in the Washington DC arboretum. The nest has two eggs, one of which has started to “pip” or hatch. Pipping can take between 12 and 48 hours according to the website http://dceaglecam.eagles.org/.

Most likely all of this event will one day be condensed into a short timelapse video plastered all over the internet, but in the meantime take a peek. There is a six hour time differential between Washington DC and Skopelos at the moment.
