Icons at Vakratsa

In the “apothiki” of the Vakratsa house we saw last night the 7 fine icons painted by Anthi Valsamaki. The subject of the paintings is divine intervention through two saints, Spyridon and Nikolaos, in the lives of sailors. The paintings are done in egg tempera in the Byzantine style. The color and composition in each icon is very strong.

Try to see them, there is no entry fee just to see the paintings.
